Welcome to NSF 2012

The countdown to the National Sports Festival 2012 has begun in what marks a landmark year for sports with the Olympics coming to London later this year!

As is tradition, NSF will be held over the Easter weekend on the 6th to 9th April 2012. We are extremely fortunate to have secured Loughborough University as our venue, with its world class sporting facilities which will also host part of the base camp for athletes participating in the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

This year we will be introducing even more sports such as Athletics, Indoor Cricket, Ladies Golf and Dodgeball as well as sports for the under 9s, over 30s and over 45s!

The NSF 2012 theme is “Embrace the Spirit” and we invite the Jamat to embrace the spirit of the festival which is underpinned by four core values; Sporting Excellence, One Community, Health and Wellbeing and Volunteerism. Whatever your passion or interest; be it sporting, staying healthy or service, the festival has something for you.

NSF 2012 will be, playing host to an event which will be fun for the whole family. Even if you don’t play sport, there will be plenty of entertainment as our array of daytime activities, institutional and health and wellbeing programmes means there will be something to occupy both the youth and the seniors for the whole weekend not to mention our evening entertainment will be a medley of cultural delights!

So gather your sporting teams, your friends and your family and come to NSF 2012 for what promises to be an unforgettable family weekend!

We look forward to seeing you there!
