Arusha — TANZANIA is likely to earn 103 bn/- invested in quality child care and there are nine dollars to benefit society for every dollar invested.
“Young children are the best investment that any government can ever capitalize on,” said Ms Lisa Jordan, the Executive Director of Benard Van Leer Foundation, at the ongoing First Biennial National Forum on Early Childhood Development.According to Ms Jordan, very few enterprises can boast nine-time turnover of their initial investments, saying taking care of children is not just maternal or social responsibility but a massive economic endeavour similar to mineral exploration.
