An exhibition that has just opened at the Science Museum is celebrating 1,000 years of science from the Muslim world.
A look around the Science Museum exhibition, ‘1001 Inventions: Discover the Muslim Heritage in Our World’.
From about 700 to 1700, many of history’s finest scientists and technologists were to be found in the Muslim world.
The free exhibition runs from 21 January to 25 April with a break between 25 February and 12 March.

Science Museum in London to Host Exhibition “1001 Inventions
The Science Museum in London announced on 22 December 2009 that it will host a new exhibition, 1001 Inventions: Discover the Muslim Heritage in Our World, which traces the forgotten story of a thousand years of science from the Muslim world, from the 7th century onwards.
The free exhibition, which runs from the 21 January to 25 April 2010, will look at the social, scientific and technical achievements that are credited to the Muslim world, whilst celebrating the shared scientific heritage of other cultures. The exhibition is a British based project, produced by FSTC and 1001 Inventions in association with the Jameel Foundation.
