AS Harry Potter: The Exhibition in Singapore is about to disapparate, it might seem that the island republic will be losing its greatest recent cultural treasure. It will certainly be losing a lot of TM (trademark) symbols — the first paragraph of the exhibition website contains no less than three. There is more happening down south, however, and not all of it is trademarked.
At the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) there are two fascinating exhibitions at the moment, and both have a connection with Malaysia.
One, Treasures of the Aga Khan Museum: Architecture in Islamic Arts, is the latest leg in a journey that has included such diverse locations as St Petersburg and Kuala Lumpur.
