“Syria: A Living History” —Watch Video on the inauguration of the Aga Khan Museum’s exhibition

On Thursday, October 13, we welcome honoured guests and valued patrons to the Aga Khan Museum for an exclusive preview event celebrating our newest exhibition, Syria: A Living History.
Beginning at 6:30 pm EST, tune in to a live stream of the special event, featuring an introductory video from Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO, followed by welcome remarks from the following distinguished speakers:
• Henry S. Kim, Director and CEO, Aga Khan Museum;
• The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage;
• The Honourable John McCallum, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship;
• Dr. Filiz Çakır Phillip, Curator, Aga Khan Museum; and
• Professor Nasser Rabbat, Director, Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture.
Listen as these leading figures and scholars discuss the process of bringing Syria: A Living History to the Aga Khan Museum, and the broader social and cultural benefits of premiering the exhibition in Toronto.
