The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) together with 26 nations and international organizations supported the Amritsar Declaration as an additional 14 countries and the UN adopted the Amritsar Declaration at the Heart of Asia, Istanbul Process on Afghanistan, 6th Ministerial Conference 2016 in Amritsar, India.

AKDN was represented at the ministerial meetings by the AKDN Resident Representative for Afghanistan, Mrs Nurjehan Mawani.
