Coming Together in Today’s World: Hussein Rashid’s Sermon at Marble Collegiate Church, New York


On Sunday, January 22, 2017, Dr. Hussein Rashid was invited to speak at Marble Collegiate Church in New York. The invitation was part of their annual Tri-Faith Worship, and the theme this year was Coming Together in Today’s World. Hussein Rashid (, PhD, is founder of islamicate, L3C, a consultancy focusing on religious literacy and cultural competency.

He works with a variety of NGOs, foundations, non-profits, and governmental agencies for content expertise on religion broadly, with a specialization on Islam. His work includes exploring theology, the interaction between culture and religion, and the role of the arts in conflict mediation.
