This year’s new venue, the recently opened state of the art sports facility at the University of Nottingham, provides an ideal environment for athletes to focus on their performance.
There will be the chance to try new sports, such as Hockey, Throwball, Yoga and Rock-Climbing – alongside the usual favourites – Badminton, Dance, Dodgeball, Football, Golf, Netball, Squash and Table Tennis, to name but a few.
In addition, the Aga Khan Foundation Walk & Run will take place over the European Sports Festival weekend. Participate in the sponsored 10k run, 5k walk and 1k fun run and enjoy getting fit, while also supporting the work of our global institutions.
ESF 2017 is an opportunity to meet old friends and new, from across the UK and Europe. As One Jamat we invite you to join in the fun. The weekend will be packed full of social spaces and exciting activities for every age and every interest from arts and culture to personal wellbeing.
We invite all members of the Jamat to unite in taking advantage of a range of non-sporting activities. These will include arts and crafts activities, health screenings and other endeavours to promote healthy living.
In addition, ESF 2017 will be host to entertainment every evening for all age groups to enjoy, so whether you have played sport all day or spent time with friends, the evenings will provide even more space for fun and celebration.
