Jesus tomb in Jerusalem reopens after renovation
The shrine where Jesus Christ is said to have been buried and resurrected has been unveiled after a $4m renovation.
A restoration team has finished its work to reinforce and preserve the tomb in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in east Jerusalem.
The site is the centrepiece of one of Christianity’s oldest churches and one of its most important shrines.

On Wednesday morning, the tomb of Jesus in Jerusalem was reopened after being closed to the public for nine months for a $4 million renovation. NBC’s Richard Engel shares a first look inside on TODAY.
